CPT in the 2024 Pride Parade!

CPT IS BACK IN THE PRIDE PARADE!

There are still many details to work out, but we are excited to have an entry in the 2024 parade. 

We have rented a trolley that seats 34, and some are still available. We also can have many walkers on the parade route who can be flag bearers, or carry our vintage banner, or serve as monitors.

We are partnering with Illinois Commission on LGBTQ+ Aging, and are excited to make connections with another important group.

HERE IS THE UPDATE!  We are number 13 in the parade lineup. Yippee!

We expect the trolley to be parked on the West side of Broadway between Sheridan and Grace - so near Gill Park perhaps? We hope to be decorating the trolley starting at 9:30. Those riding and walking should meet the trolley between 10 and 10:20. We will take a photo at 10:30 and be ready to roll.

The parade shirts arrived last night, so some people got them at Big Chicks. If you still need to pick yours up, you can grab them at David Zak's office on Wilson east of Clark on Tuesday or Thursday afternoon, or they will be waiting for you on the Trolley.

We are asking people to to pay $15  to participate as a walker or rider, and will include a new blue CPT t shirt. The shirts are 100% cotton and are not pre-shrunk, so increase the size up on from what you would normally wear, for comfort.
