Important UPDATED Logistics for CPT Participants

IF YOU ARE SIGNING UP ON JUNE 27 OR 28 AND ARE A CPT MEMBER, PLEASE NOTE WE ARE OUT OF T SHIRTS, BUT WILL ONE GET ONE TO YOU DURING JULY!

First, our apologies for the earlier start time. We only found out about this change recently from the trolley company, and the parade committee’s communication has been less than ideal. We know this means an earlier morning than expected, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding!

Trolley Schedule (Wilson Avenue Pickup)

• Arrival & Departure: The trolley will arrive at 1411 W Wilson (Open Space Arts) at 8:15 AM on Sunday and depart at 8:30 AM sharp for the parade lineup. Please be on time – we cannot delay the departure.

• Boarding at Wilson: If you plan to hop on at Wilson, try to get there a few minutes early. Also, please let us know via email or text at 773-332-0468 if you’ll board at Wilson, so we can account for everyone (we don’t want to leave anyone behind!).

Meeting at the Parade Lineup

• Entry #13 – Lineup Location: Our group is Entry #13 in the parade. You can find our lineup spot on the west side of N. Broadway, between Gill Park and the Starbucks (just south of the Sheridan & Broadway intersection). Look for our trolley and team when you arrive.

• Timing at Lineup: Please plan to arrive by 9:30 AM at the lineup area if you’re meeting us there. We’ll be decorating the trolley before the parade starts and would love your help! All participants need to be in place by 10:00 AM so we’re ready when the parade kicks off.

Important Reminders for Parade Day

• Stay Hydrated: It’s going to be a long, fun day – bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. (We’ll have a cooler on the trolley to keep everyone’s drinks cold!)

• Sun Protection: The forecast is typically hot and sunny. Please wear sunscreen, and consider bringing a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun.

• Comfort & Safety: Wear comfortable shoes since we’ll be on our feet. If you need to bring a small bag (for snacks, extra sunscreen, etc.), you can stow it on the trolley.

After the Parade

• Parade End & Cleanup: The parade route ends near Cannon Drive, just south of Diversey. Our trolley will stop there once we finish the route. We’ll take a group photo to capture the moment, and then spend a few minutes removing our decorations from the trolley – please stick around to help and be in the photo!

• Return Trip & Drop-Offs: After the parade wraps up, you’re welcome to reboard the trolley for the ride back north. We’ll head up Lake Shore Drive and can drop off at the Wilson Red Line station or continue to Uptown Tap Room. (Many of us will be going to Uptown Tap Room for a celebratory lunch – we’d love for you to join us there!)

T-Shirt Pickup Information

• Saturday Pickup: Parade t-shirts can be picked up on Saturday, June 29 between 10:00 AM and 12:00 noon at Open Space Arts (1411 W Wilson). If you ordered a CPT Pride shirt, this is the best time to get yours so you can wear it on Sunday.

• Parade Day Pickup: If you can’t make it on Saturday, no worries – we will bring your shirt on the trolley Sunday morning. You can get your shirt before the parade starts so you can put it on and show off our team pride during the march.
