Our September Open Social marks an exciting first for Chicago PrimeTimers: this will be our first gathering at Ann Sather’s new Division Street location. Join us as we settle into a new setting for an evening of good food, lively conversation, and the chance to reconnect with friends old and new.
Ann Sather has been part of the Chicago PrimeTimers tradition for many years, and we’re delighted to begin a new chapter at its beautiful new restaurant on Division Street. Whether you’ve been a member for decades or are attending your first PrimeTimers event, you’ll receive a warm welcome.
Come meet new people, catch up with friends, explore the new location, and enjoy a relaxed dinner together.
After dinner, our very own John D’Emilio will discuss his new book, Making Gay History: Memoir of a Scholar-Activist. In the brief time available, John will present a whirlwind retrospective of his career as a public historian, activist, and academic, extending from the 1970s to the present day. There will be copies of the book available for purchase, and John will be happy to autograph your copy for you. And if you already have a copy, please bring it, and John will be happy to sign it, too!
